With its main headquarters based in Germany, STEINEL specialises in the manufacture of heat guns and hot glue applicators for both domestic and commercial use. The company is also a pioneer in sensor light and motion detector technology.

Now an internationally recognised brand, the STEINEL company was founded by Heinrich Wolfgang Steinel in a garage in the town of Herzebrock-Clarholz, Germany in 1959. The company now employs in excess of 1,300 people in its various development and manufacturing facilities located across Europe. Initial product development occurs in one of the company's three centres based in Germany, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. Advanced production facilities are located in Germany, Romania, Switzerland and Moldova.

The STEINEL GROUP manufactures products and provides innovative solutions for both the commercial and domestic markets. As such, the company has created two distinct brands - STEINEL for DIY enthusiasts and STEINEL PROFESSIONAL for commercial users such as tradesmen, planners and architects.
