HOLZMA Plattenaufteiltechnik GmbH is one of the world's largest manufacturers of panel sizing saws and equipment. The traditional and family-run company is in the position to provide its customers with innovative machines, as well as software and service solutions, which makes processing more efficient. Sometimes all a buisness need is a good beam saw, a HOLZMA beam saw. The problems start when you realize how expansive a CNC machine like that can be. A reasonable solution is to buy a used HOLZMA CNC machine half the price and due to HOLZMA high production standards the machine will most likely be in a very good condition.
HOLZMA Plattenaufteiltechnik GmbH – The history of a family company
In 1966, Erwin Jenkner founded the company and started the brand HOLZMA. Up until this time, the term window manufacturing was just associated with fitting, drilling and milling machines, not with saws. In the mid 1950s, Erwin Jenkner built special HOLZMA machines using his own ideas and plans. He then used these machines to build composite windows. Adding to these models, he expanded the HOLZMA product range to include vertical grinding machines and frame presses. The brand HOLZMA GmbH created the first series machine. In 1967, he followed his goal and along with two co-workers, he built the first horizontal saw with a saw machine, which ran under a table. During the following year, their product range expanded alongside the company itself. Diverse machines were patented, which set worldwide standards. In the middle of the 1970s, HOLZMA entered the North America, Australian and the Far Eastern markets.
Bought by HOMAG Group
In 1987, HOMAG was looking for a specialist in horizontal panel sizing saws, when they found the group HOLZMA. This ensured their continual growth and HOLZMA has now established itself in the European area. In 2005, HOMAG Sawtech was renamed to HOLZMA S.A.
