About CHIRON Germany
Founded in Germany in 1921, CHIRON-WERKE originally started out as a manufacturer of surgical instruments in a small town of Tuttlingen. Over the next thirty years, the company would begin to expand its product portfolio to include paint spray guns, compressors and components for jet engines.
It was in 1958 when CHIRON Tuttlingen first began to produce component parts for drilling and milling machines, paving the way for the manufacture of the machines themselves, for which CHIRON are now well known. The company produced its first vertical machining centre in 1977.
Today, CHIRON-WERKE GmbH & Co. KG is a truly global organisation with production facilities in locations such as Charlotte, North Carolina, USA and Beijing, China. These two plants are in addition to the sales and service centres which exist in a host of other countries including France, Italy, Turkey and India.
